Edamah is pleased to reintroduce one of the most beautiful and iconic beaches in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Bilaj Al Jazayer. Renowned international designers, Fosters and Partners, have been commissioned to create a master-planned development as a vibrant 24/7 mixed-use destination where residents and tourists can enjoy a variety of lifestyle opportunities. The totality of the project includes infrastructure such as roads, carparking and public facilities together with carefully crafted building developments that are zoned to offer hospitality, food and beverage, retail, entertainment, commercial and residential areas. At the core of the whole project lies the magnificent Bilaj Al Jazayer – a beach that has been rejuvenated to become a waterfront destination for all occasions.
The entire inter-tidal area together with the foreshore has been meticulously cleaned and landscaped to offer a superb destination for all. Bilaj Al Jazayer is now open to the public!
Things to See and Do at Bilaj Al Jazayer
Transportation – Bilaj Al Jazayer is easily accessible from all corners of the country and offers over 1000 carparks within a short walking distance to the beach, to make your trip easy and hassle-free. There are also well-maintained public facilities for your convenience.
Food – While the development will, in time, provide a number of restaurants and cafes, the facilities at present include provision for a variety of food trucks close to the beach. These, like elsewhere in Bahrain will offer a diversity of cuisine, catering to all tastes.
The Beach Today
Edamah has reintroduced Bilaj Al Jazayer beach after conducting extensive beach improvement works, to make Bilaj Al Jazayer a beautiful waterfront destination for Bahraini families and international visitors to enjoy.
Over time, the resort development will grow to offer full facilities. Right now, the beach is beautiful, clean and pristine – offering an amazing destination for a family fun day out, with just enough basic infrastructure to make sure you have everything you need.
In addition to the beach regeneration, upgrading of existing facilities, new food outlets, improved parking, and enhanced landscaping have been constructed.
